I didn't start my career as a financial coach. My career began in the military, where I served over 22 years, teaching, coaching, and counseling other military members. As a military family, we moved on average every two years, racking up debt along the way. My wife and I juggled multiple bank accounts, often post-dating personal checks to make ends meet. In the early years, we had no clue of the poor financial decisions we were making, because we were keeping up with all the bills; and there were a lot of them. Our financial decisions had us living paycheck-to-paycheck, relying on credit cards to fill the gaps when hit with unexpected expenses and emergencies. I know first-hand what money stress feels like.
Before completing our second tour in Europe, I took a closer look at our finances, only to see we had a negative net worth. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and knew something had to change because what we were doing wasn't working. Setting the goals of becoming Financially Independent and Retire Early, I developed a multi-prong strategy to eliminate debt, save for retirement, and build generational wealth. In the following years, equipped with a written plan, goals, and milestones, we executed our strategy, eliminating the debt and stress from our lives.
Today we're debt-free, live off passive income, and are passionate about helping other people master their money through planning, budgeting, execution, and accountability.
I have a Master's Degree in Human Relations, a Master's in Business Administration, a Master’s Financial Coach, accredited through Ramsey Financial Solutions, and considered an Expert in Debt Elimination.
